I was refering to the comments you made
about it being almost the same as each other (drifting being no easier than wrc)
using your inalogy of the sport would mean there is no difference between go-cart racing & formular 1!!!!

awd was invented in the 80ties by audi , before that they always used rwd cars , in big lines they did exactly the same as drifters do now , they oversteered the cars in corners , what does it matter if it s faster , overall its exactly the same , go watch a video here on youtube about late 70ties/early 80ties wrc , you will see them doing the exact same thing drifters do , just faster , and without the smoke !

you completely missed my point , i never said it s the same , i said i would like to see a rally driver out of the wrc , drifting in a drift spec car , you can say what you want , but it does have simarlarities , rallying is based on oversteering a awd , drifting oversteerting a rwd car , whoo lots of difference , not , plus , rwd cars are also used in rallying , the old fords ? the old opels ? exactly , it does have simarlarities !

actually it is very different.
the driving characteristics of an awd vs a rwd are very noticeable.

drifting an awd car is a lot harder and feels totally different.

countersteering to correct the oversteering is apparent and of course similar.

since when was drifting ever at low speed?!
if you are a driver racer and you drift at low speed….
then obviously you are a drifter.

if you watch professionals, they have entry speeds of over 100mph depending on the corner.

if you watch rallying, they enter at the highest speed they can for that corner, difference is, rallying is a race, drifting is all showmanship.

on a lighter note you might be suprised to know that the first awd car with a combustion engine was a spyker built
in 1903 (not audi) amc (american motor company) was one of the fisrt commercial cars in awd before audi

and no there is no simarlarities
drifting is at low speed!!!!!!!!!!!!
ralling is at high speed (nerves of steel)
before you get on your high horse I’m a drift racer myself
it takes talent but rallying takes nerves of steel(best in the world drivers)
