Yeah could be the case. Landrovers are known for being basic but look what they can do. Having said that ‘Landies’ do have seatbelts and other gadgets.

He is criticizing everything russian. Not that I’m russian, but thats not even a car – it’s a jeep so its designed as simple and tough as possible – they don’t need adjustable seats or powerful engines in Siberia, so it has to be simple and reliable.

UAZ is UAZ, just small military truck as it is supposed to be. No hummer goes in comparasion with UAZ in offroading. But actuallt that ‘s not the military UAZ 469. The original military 469 had portal axles, like in Volvo Laplander. 300mm ground clearence with stock 29″ tires. Easily accepts 33″, so count…350mm of clearence. Good vehicle for its purposes!

Its a military car, it will go thru anything anywhere anytime. Like literally at any point of the world. Be it -60 or +60C

And you can fix it by hitting it with your hammer twice. Not something you can say about a G merc for example.

strange, my brother bought a used toureg and it seemed fine off-road, not that he really took it off road

it is not the most comfortable car ever
but its offroad capabilities are second to none
save “worst car” thing for something else!
