I wasn’t comparing it to the coupe, the mustang gt is in the class of the coupe and is faster and a nice gearbox.

It’s not as high quality as the taurus or geneis though.

Taurus is a HUGE piece of shit. if you like understeer and a horribly manufactured gear box then by all means get the Taurus. what you need to do is go test drive both of those cars and find out for yourself. the figures just dont add up. genesis is an all around better car for the money.

The difference between a g8, charger srt8 and the taurus sho is that the taurus’s interior is far better. You can say all day long that the hyundai is a better bang for the buck but please prove it to me. That is your opinion so you really can’t.

Listen. If you believe Taurus SHO is that good of a car, then believe it. If you think SHO with ecoboost can do 5.2 seconds, that’s great. Most of us here don’t really care. So can G8 and so can many other American 4-door sedans, besides Taurus SHO.

All I can tell you is, for the money, Genesis is the better car than any other cars in its class, including Taurus SHO. I’m not gonna waste my time trying to convince you.

I plan on test driving both of them soon, am just very busy. Care to tell me what engine the Taurus shares with the mazda6? Is it the i4 that isn’t available? Or is it the 3.7l v6 when ford uses a 3.5l? I’m not sure. Considering ford’s ecoboost 3.5l gets the taurus from 0-60 in 5.2 while the hyundai 4.6 does it in 5.5, and the 1/4 mile in 13.7 for the taurus, and 14.0 for the genesis, I wouldn’t say that it is a shitty engine when it gets better fuel economy and is a faster car.

Can you guess what city C/D’s headquarter office is located at? That’s right. Detroit!

They are there for some obvious reasons: SURVIVAL. Do you think C/D can make money solely by selling them at the stands? Hell, no!

They make money thru ads. That’s their main source of income, and the D3 companies practically own the magazine companies. Do you really think the reviewer will write off their D3 bosses by saying, Taurus is made out of cheap shits? I don’t think so.

By the sound of your comments, you’ve never been in either one of them. Just go to Hyundai and Ford dealers, and try out Genesis and Taurus, before making any more of your stupid comments.

There’s quite a bit of difference between Genesis and Taurus in terms of quality materials, in and out. Taurus uses shitty platform, which was used on the failed Five Hundred, and also shares same shitty engine with Mazda 6.

Unlike Hyundai, Ford screwed buyers with cheap platform and engine.

I don’t think you know what you are talking about, read a review from car and driver or motortrend. They never mention cheap. You are just saying random shit. And you comment about the es and then the genesis; are you a future teller? You can see what is going to happen? I don’t think so. And the price for a sho isn’t 45k+ a nicely equipped one is around 40k. Also the sho does 0-60 in 5.2, 1/4 mile in 13.7, the genesis 4.6 does it in 5.5, and 14.0. Face it the taurus is an awesome car.

Wait until Hyundai Sonata comes out with its new 2011 model, then compare Taurus with Sonata.

Like I said earlier, Taurus with standard options will outsell Genesis sedan by a wide margin. Hyundai didn’t even consider Taurus as the main competitor, anyway. But will the same Taurus customers spend 45K+ money for SHO? I don’t think so.

With that kind of budget, they’ll first head over to Lexus for ES, and then come to Hyundai dealer for Genesis in the end.

The genesis has all the options you mentioned. Most of which are on the standard…. Uses lexicon sound system, has the temperature seats, the sun shade, rear view camera and the advanced control system that critics praise to be even better then the BMW idrive. Hyundai is the best car for the buck. WIth their quality on 3rd, even beating Toyota, how can u not buy a car that’s so much cheaper yet better quality than most?

@nikellh before calling taurus piece of shit you should test drive(i doubt ur even in age of having a license) before talking shit of it. It doesn’t have this sporty touch as a g37 but its way more luxurious than a g37 and its looks way better(and its quieter than a acura rl)
