@TheSmokingTire That may be so – but whatever you chose it must exude excitement …. that rule will never change. cars are sold with sex and excitement … and since your show is totally sans sex appeal i’d say you’re stuck with excitement.

@TheSmokingTire All I was saying was that the product integration appeared inauthentic. I just think that it is an ineffective use of their marketing dollar. Which to be honest, doesn’t matter to you guys and I doubt was your decision in the first place. So my criticism was directed towards the Black Magic marketing department, and not you guys. As I’m sure you guys are aware, there are many ways you can incorporate sponsors to meet your revenue goals. Either way your videos are great!

@TVRFan11 very different from the american reality show. The rally is on TV, in 96 countries, just not this one. It’s primarily on in the UK. American TV advertisers would never go for this sort of thing.

@mrjost55 no, that’s the reality show, this is the rally. one is designed to entertain an audience at home, the other is designed to entertain those participating in it. There are few things in life that are less fun than being a contestant on the reality show.

@ecuo4lyf that’s completely ridiculous. we’re sponsored by Black Magic, not Ford. Ford lent us the car for a week like they would any other press car, and there is no financial incentive from Ford at all, certainly not getting paid to say good things about the car. I wish I could get paid to endorse cars, I’d be much better off than I am today, but that’s simply not the case.

@CroswhiteK the entire reason black magic chooses us instead of regular bullshit TV commercials is specifically because of “product integration.” like we’ve done in these videos. If you don’t like it, then skip ahead to another part of the video, but without those exact moments, we aren’t going on the rally. That’s just how it is.

@rtardbox heavy metal for an intro to a car show is cheesy and played out. We’ll never use metal for an intro again.

@Gangreen167 we are limited to a 10 minute upload because Black Magic’s channel isn’t a partner like ours is. And there is only so much we can legally show in terms of crazy driving, because we don’t want people, including ourselves or our sponsors, to get in trouble. Considering we shoot, edit, and upload videos every single day while driving at high speed across the country, your standards for on-the-fly video production are way higher than what’s actually possible.
