The fifth Gumball 300 rally was held in May 2003, with more than 100 cars beginning in San Francisco, California with a finish line in Miami, Florida. The rally passed through Reno, Nevada; Las Vegas; Tucson, Arizona; White Sands, New Mexico; San Antonio, Texas; Houston, Texas; and New Orleans, Louisiana. Featured entrants included Jackass’ Ryan Dunn racing a rental car alongside skateboard legends Tony Hawk and Bam Margera in a Dodge Viper, Bucky Lasek, Motocross World champions Travis Pastrana and Carey Hart, and supermodel Jodie Kidd. Cars included a mix of Ferrari F50s and 360s, Lamborghini Murcielagos, a Koenigsegg CC and Jesse James’ customized VW Eurovan. Alex Roy and Dave Maher won the Gumball Spirit Trophy in his Team Polizei BMW M5, outfitted with German Police equipment. Top Gear reported that the Koenigsegg CC8S holds the fastest speeding ticket in the world, which allegedly occurred in May 2003 in Texas. It was supposedly 242 mph (389 km/h) in a 75-mph (120 km/h) zone. The “Fastest Wheels” award was presented to Rob “Lonman” Kenworthy in a Porsche GT2, with the “Special Award” presented to Richard and Sue Rawlings, owners of a heavily modified Chevy Avalanche. www.gumball3000.com

Like me on Facebook – www.facebook.com Bullrun this year was full of pranks, good memories, and some unfortunate situations. This video was shot the night before the rally started and is full of fail. While taking pictures of the cars in the parking garage I heard someone doing donuts on the top level. Earlier that day the Ferrari F430 Spider left its mark and showed us some real donuts! Once I got to the top of the parking garage I saw this Camaro (rental car) attempting to drift around the polls and burn some rubber. Just listening to the car I could hear it was an automatic. Which makes this even more sad is the fact it was raining and should have been extremely easy to slide the car around. After a few minutes of near crashes my friend jumped in his Audi R8 equipped with red and blue lights to make it look like a police car and pulled up behind the Camaro. Being a tourist he actually thought he was being pulled over. As you can see my friend is laughing as he pulls away in the R8 leaving the camaro there thinking “WTF?”. I thought this would be a fun video for you all to watch and hopefully enjoy. Also this is my first video I made with Final Cut Pro X. I’m trying to see if I like using it. One of the checkpoints was Palm Beach International Raceway in Florida. After everyone was done on the track a few guys had fun in the parking lot doing a lot of donuts. This is the same guy who did donuts in Las Vegas in his Ferrari F430 Spider. The expanded 2-day event will again be one week prior to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.Round 1: Streets of Long Beach will kick-off the 2011 Championship season in style with new cars, new drivers, and all the sideways excitement that Formula DRIFT is known for. Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. will be back to defend his title against all competitors including Ryan Tuerck, Dai Yoshihara, Chris Forsberg, Rhys Millen, and the rest of the talented pool of drivers.
