This is my Tomy drift car that I have modded the crap out of. Despite those Japanese guys on youtube making it look easy to drive, it totally isn’t ! And with no throttle control and only on and off steering it was not much fun for me out out of the box. I couldn’t even get it to go straight! Also, I only have carpet to play on, so it was massively underpowered and just sat for months doing nothing. I had everything lying around that I modded it with so I pretty much had nothing to lose by hacking at it. List of mods: hxt900 9g servo with large gear screwed onto it tamiya teu101bk speed controller – stripped eurgle 2.4gh receiver – stripped xmods stock motor from my bumblebee camaro 240mah 2 cel lipo – home made I love the chassis, it’s really simple and easy to work with. I also have a few xmods and I recon this drifts way better already. Next up I want to add lights and a bigger battery would also be nice. It’s also a bit tail heavy I think. Spent waaay too much time on this toy lol

www.rccartips.com – My custom made one of a kind rc drift car replicating the Toyota AE86 Trueno from the popular Initial D anime. Chassis is a Tamiya TL01 shortened to 233mm. The Toyota body was from a JADA toy kit. Lot’s of sanding, molding and repaiting to replicate the Intial D panda Trueno paint scheme. Yes it does drift as it is a 4wd chassis. Lot’s of fun especially knowing it is a one of a kind model. Body is not lexan, it is a highly detailed plastic (similar to ABS). The dimension is true 1/10 scale.
