Scot Flora, 42, of North Liberty, was taken into custody after crashing this Mazda Millenia into a fence in the 1100 block of Fourth Avenue in Washington on Feb. 21, 2011. Washington Police Chief Greg Goodman estimated that Flora was going 100 mph when he sped by Stewart Elementary School. Flora hit a fire hydrant and drove through several yards before he abandoned his vehicle and attempted to elude police on foot. He was captured by Washington County deputies a few blocks west of the scene of the crash.
