Don’t aim for pedestrians! 1. Approach from about 50 metres out and keep the parking spot on your right. In first gear bring the car up to around 3500 revs. When you reach the empty spot between the two cars put your left hand on the steering wheel at nine o’clock and spin it round to six o’clock. 2. As soon as you begin to turn the wheel pull on the handbrake. Then correct any oversteer with the steering wheel. 3. You can also approach from the other direction. Just reverse your hands on the wheel, start at three o’clock and turn anti-clockwise. That’s it. Simple and effective. However it is easy to overcook it so you may want to practise a little before trying this anywhere near real cars or pedestrians. To do this you’ll need four traffic cones. Lay them out just over a car length apart in your large empty area. Two on the outside edge representing the road side of the parked cars and two on the inside to mark out the area where pedestrians walk and manslaughter charges apply. For hairpin bends we use the same principles. From whatever speed you’re doing drop down to second then first gear, turn into the corner, clutch down, apply the handbrake so that the rear wheels lock and the back end comes round. Well, your car and your friends car may sometimes be producing the same power. But the torque of the two cars may not be same. Do you know why? The reason is simple. It all depends on two factors and they are :- the distance moved, and the number of pounds moved. For the same reason, if we move 550 pounds 1 feet, and if we move 1 pound 550 foot, we would be getting the same horsepower which would be equal to exactly one horsepower. So, this is the reason why two cars with different torque produce same power.

Another reason for the above fact is that, the high torque engine would be would be rotating at a much slower rate than the low torque engine. So, both of the cars, even they are with different torques, they would be producing same power.

So, if you ask me, which is more important – torque or horsepower? I would say that torque is more important and we should be having good knowledge about what it does and how it helps the driver at various situations.

Before we go on any further, it is to be noted that you’ have to spend some money for changing the tires, repairing the car and also for modifying it. If you are ready for it, then you’ll be learning to be consistent in driving your car. Well, the way we lauch a manual transmission car and an automatic transmission car is different. The same goes with an all-wheel-drive car, a front-wheel-drive car, and with a  rear-wheel-drive car.

If you are with a manual transmission car, then it’s all about applying the throttle at the right levels. Our main aim should be to prevent the excessive spinning of wheels. Different cars are with different rpm levels. So, if you are planning to learn how to launch your are in the quickest time, then you should try holding the throttle at different rpm levels. This way you’ll be knowing the power needed to launch your car the better way. After some experiments with your car, the car would be surely needing some repairs. But, these experiments will surely making you an hard core driver.
